Today is International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples and the start of the Global Indigenous Youth Summit on Climate Change UNITAR. We will feature some of the key voices from the event to share why indigenous youth participation is key to addressing climate change.

The GIYSCC provides a wonderful opportunity to bring original and grassroots voices to the table on climate change negotiation and any other initiatives on climate change. It empowers global Indigenous Youth, offering fresh and inclusive insights into other climate initiatives.

These young people have the potential to become future leaders in their communities and play a vital role in raising awareness of the challenges indigenous people face. By fostering alliances greater attention can be paid to the plight of indigenous communities in Africa. 2/2
