It certainly appears to be the case that the strategy being employed is to ignore the noise, pretend all is well and effectively gaslight the membership. History will remember whether or not Home Office and Yvette Cooper allow them to get away with it.

My fear is it suits Home Office Yvette Cooper to have a weak & fractured Police Federation of England and Wales because they actually don’t want police officers to have a strong authentic voice, or that might prove to be just a bit too “troublesome” to manage?
