Bartlett’s held their very own #RoyalAscot themed event this week. Some of our relatives brought their horses in, another friend of Bartlett’s, Mike, serenaded us with some songs, & everyone enjoyed the great weather with refreshments in our garden overlooking the Chiltern Hills.

We had a great day out at Ascot Racecourse with four of our residents last week. We saw the King and Queen in the Royal Procession before heading down to the track side to watch a few races. Everyone really enjoyed the outing and getting dressed up. #RoyalAscot #carehomelife

Ark Farm Animals visited Bartlett’s recently. Our residents loved stroking the animals on their laps and feeding them carrots and beans. We had a tortoise, a hedgehog, guinea pigs, fur-less guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, a barn owl, chicks and a labrador #carehomelife

Our residents enjoy getting out in our minibus, with one of our recent trips being to a local garden centre. Our residents enjoyed looking at the plants, with one resident picking out a plant to buy for his wife, reading funny cards and having some tea and cake in the cafe.

Our friends at Paws PT have recently joined us at Bartlett’s and Stone House to run Dog Shows. Relatives and staff brought in their furry friends to take part in races, competitions and the ever popular musical sits. Our residents really enjoyed meeting the dogs.

We had a great day last Saturday at our annual Bartlett's Classic Car Show. There was something for everyone with vehicles for the enthusiasts, live singing for the spectators and ice cream with an array of toppings for the children #carehomelife

Residents from Stone House enjoy visiting the Cafe in the Park for some tea, cakes and people watching. The cafe, which is just down the road from Stone House, is open once a week and run by local church volunteers who are always very welcoming.

Some of our residents at Merryfield recently took a trip to Aston Pottery with the help of our activities team and wonderful volunteer driver. Teas, cakes and a tour of the gardens were enjoyed by all. Elma particularly enjoyed pointing out her favourite plants in the gardens.

Our Merryfield residents and some family members recently enjoyed a trip to the Oxford Bus Museum. It was a great chance to reminisce about times gone by, with some of the vehicles sparking memories that our residents enjoyed sharing.

All of our homes can enjoy trips to Bicester Village for our residents to indulge in some retail therapy. We enjoy sharing lunch and a browse through the various designer outlets, with assistance from our Concierge Service hosts.

Krystel has been with us for 20 years this month. We celebrated with a little gathering for staff and residents and presented Krystel with her long service award and voucher. We are so grateful for all of Krystel’s hard work and dedication to our residents at Merryfield.

Bartlett's recently held their annual Summer Party. Residents and their families enjoyed plentiful refreshments, including a hog roast and ice creams, with singing provided by The Barn-Ettes. The residents really enjoyed having their families there and we had some dancing too.

We've recently had a Hawaiian party at Stone House. We enjoyed being out in our lovely new gardens, with our residents sampling mocktails and fruits and getting into the Hawaiian spirit with flower garlands and grass skirts. #carehomelife

Recently we had a mini golf session at Bartlett’s with Original Tee. Jordan & Alex from Original Tee were wonderful with our residents, supporting them to complete the course, showing them how to use their wheelchair putters & celebrating with them when they got a hole in one.

Tony and the puppets have visited all of our homes recently. Many of our residents enjoy the puppets singing and joking with them and we have lots of fun. Some residents like the puppets to sit on their laps, whilst others who are in bed enjoy being visited by the puppets.

Our residents at Bartlett’s love to dance, so our recent 1920's-themed party was very popular. Many of our residents got into the party spirit with hair pieces and, in our decorated room, danced and enjoyed plentiful refreshments. #carehomelife
