Our American Fisheries Society students got hands-on experience doing beach seining at Wea Creek a few weeks ago. Our student organizations are a great way for FNR students to apply the techniques they learn in the classroom out in the field.

We've been tracking fish in the Chicago River for over a year now, thanks to our telemetry project with Purdue Fish Eco Lab and Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant. This individual Largemouth Bass spent winter in the North Branch before returning to the South Branch for summer.
