Scrapping the Winter Fuel Allowance is a huge mistake. Many pensioners in Bath are worried sick about being able to pay their energy bills this winter. That's why we Liberal Democrats are tabling a motion to reject the plans in order to deliver a fair deal for pensioners across the UK.

It's wrong that rural areas have to put up with second-rate services because of Westminster's unfair funding model. It's time that places like North Shropshire got the funding deal they deserve.

The Government's new plans to tackle sewage dumping will not be enough to stop this scandal- we need a complete reform of this broken industry. We need a tough new regulator and to reform water companies into public benefit corporations where the environment is put before profit
