Nearly didn’t get the camera out this morning. Took one shot, the second image is a severe crop from the first. You can play ‘spot the crop’ if you like - no prizes to be had, I ate the bacon sarnie I would’ve offered, reet tasty it was too. Nice to meet and chat with Jonny Gios

I seem to have gotten a reputation for using a 16/9 ratio in portrait, don’t I Stuart McGlennon 🤣🤣 Here’s this affers effort after a quick and dirty edit. Time to get to work on it now 👍 Big sky over Derwent Water

Currently on a residential workshop with Stuart McGlennon (highly recommended) and although we’ve not had much in the way of good light we have challenged ourselves to deliver the best of the conditions. Here’s an attempt to honour that challenge

Well, thank f**k for being on this workshop. I’ve just noticed the low resolution of my last posts. Stuart McGlennon set me right with the export setting. Hopefully no more f**k ups. Thanks Stu. Here they are now as they were meant to be

Really flat light this week in the Lakes but images were there for the taking. Colour, tones and textures. Thanks to Stuart McGlennon for pointing this one out, a parade of birches…..”stand up straight you ‘orrible little man” #LakeDistrict

Devoke Water looking gloomy or just perfect. I love the fact that when visiting this location my phone thinks I’m on the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 (hiya Steve Forden) #LakeDistrict

Oh how this place can toy with you. On our last afternoon with Stuart McGlennon after three days of the flattest of light we were gifted with some lovely silvery light…..not for long mind.

Spent the morning in a small pocket of heaven in Torridon, the Coulin Estate. When the light plays the photographer plays. Guided through this wonderful landscape by mark littlejohn

Morning light streaming up Loch Maree from the road up and beyond Poolewe. Familiar? It will be to many of you. Shot this week with mark littlejohn and two other great lads. What a place to get to and from but no wonder people move and stay. It’s feckin beautiful.
