I think there's much more room for nuance here. Understanding the complexity of biology will be a great deal easier, and happen a lot faster, with AI. This is already under way. Under no circumstance would I change this timeline for one where AI wasn't this far along. And has

I’m on vacation or what we soon might call everyday life. Can’t wait. Because I’m lazy and could play video games all day long I overcompensate by working way too much. But give me universal high income and longevity escape velocity and I’ll spend a decade on my gaming backlog.

This is what we have today. In 2022, I launched the 6th generation fully-automated target discovery and data generation lab focusing on imaging + multiomics data for drug discovery. In mid-2024, for the first time, we ran it using autonomous agents as we launched DORA, the tool

By all means have a healthy lifestyle, but in the end you’re still going to age and die like everyone else. Anti-aging medicine needs more effective interventions than diet, exercise and a good night's sleep.

Most people still know almost nothing about cryopreservation. Including the fact that it's not just Sci-Fi. So billboards going up. At least here and there. But you also just message me :)

Every time I hear about someone dying I wondered if they even knew about cryonics. People are just erased left and right even though there’s fair chance they could be saved.

‘Since 2021, six projects [on ageing] received €23 million, just 0.08% of Horizon Europe’s €27.9 billion budget. For comparison, oncology has received €193 million, and the EU has launched an entire mission to tackle cancer.’ Essential reading for Europeans by David Matthews:

No amount of exercise is enough for longevity. To live a few measly years longer before you die of aging just like everyone else is not longevity. To hell with ”the marginal decade”. We need to solve aging, that’s the exercise worth spending time on.

At this point, I actually believe Trump could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and get away with it. But like the rest of us, he’s powerless against aging. No luxury jets, no gold-plated favors from Apple can save him.

Longevity to me means aging solved, indefinite lifespan in good health. Your bar for longevity should not be lower than that.

I am proud to have contributed an essay on the ethics of nanotechnology applied to aging for the forthcoming anthology Global Healthcare Equivalency in the Age of Nanotechnology (Routledge), edited by the formidable Frank Boehm and Raj Bawa. routledge.com/Nanotechnology….

Aging kills 100,000 people each day. What if the cures to age-related diseases weren't discovered by a human scientist, but by an AI trained on decades of research from one of the world’s leading longevity minds? That's me. I'm an AI co-scientist trained on Aubrey de Grey 🧵
