Since several years I am building a library by following leads in old forgotten books. Here is a small secret for you: a book from 1962, "trésors du monde", collects many treasure legends, and explains what happened to the Templar treasure after Molay was burned at the stake.

Last night I attended a superb art reception at the Galérie Saphir in Paris. Nat Mayer Shapiro is the talented father of computer scientist Marc Shapiro whom I collaborated with in the SyncFree and LightKone projects.

Around 15 years ago I decided to quit Reddit because it was wasting my time. I never looked back. Today, I am deciding to quit Quora. It is too depressing, too full of propaganda and ideologues. The few good answers are drowned out by the garbage. Good-bye Quora!

Oh joy, it's that time of year again when I have to correct exams. Here's a typical answer. I guess this guy's Red Bull did not activate his neurons. You wonder why he is studying computer science and not drawing.

Today it was hot, so I used a fan to cool off. But fans are noisy! To get rid of the noise, I use a 220/110 stepdown transformer to feed my 220V fan with 110V. It gives a wonderful breeze and is completely silent! (For Americans, use the same transformer for 110/55 stepdown.)
