I see GRAND THEFT HAMLET is playing the #LFF, and I highly recommend it. I think there have only been two great lockdown movies, and they are HOST and this one. Shot entirely inside Grand Theft Auto Online, and following two friends as they try to stage a performance of Hamlet.

Those older than me already experienced this but I like how I'm seeing stars of my youth become elder statesman and young actors growing into mature roles. This Letterboxd 4 clip is a fun way to show regardless of age, they all share the culture of film beyond just the profession

The Life of Chuck, a movie about all that the living contain and take with them with they die, is dedicated by director Mike Flanagan to the late Scott Wampler #TIFF

Had a blast with THE DEAD TALENTS SOCIETY. Feels like the kind of movie I'd have imported from YesAsia in 2005 and forced all of my friends to watch. Like a Taiwanese MEAN GIRLS meets BEETLEJUICE. #TIFF

NIGHTBITCH is a lot, lot funnier than I think the trailers let on, with an *incredible* performance from Amy Adams and a top notch Weird Al needle drop. Great stuff.

Haven't been able to watch REBEL RIDGE yet, but everyone digging Aaron Pierre should check out Clement Virgo's BROTHER. He's so damned magnetic in it.

Hugh Grant is just all time great in HERETIC. What a hoot. Just milking every second on screen. Brilliant work. Also the first film whose credits I've seen declare there was no generative AI used in the making of the film.

Nicholas Hoult has been building one helluva fascinating and varied career, and THE ORDER shows off yet another whole new, quietly terrifying gear. And damn, what a throat-grabber of a movie.
