any time i see tamatha she's walking through the streets chatting to normal people (because she is one) but i've never seen an ACT freak outside of a press event or a news article about their sex offending or interfering with a murder investigation, they're not normal people

Interesting article by Philip Turner, former ambassador of New Zealand to both South and North Korea, who confirms we're likely to see a rapprochement of South Korea and Japan to China (which I myself noted a few days ago: x.com/RnaudBertrand/…). He writes that "the trilateral

Act, a party that garnered 8% of the vote, was able to re-litigate a constitutional document, Te Tiriti O Waitangi. Policing the manner in which people express their disagreement through the submissions process reveals the obvious limits of appeals to procedural fairness.

RNZ has recently received a glowing report on its Gaza coverage so I thought it would be interesting to track how the broadcaster dealt with the most recent major story to come out of Gaza - the massacre of the PRCS workers by Israel. Spoiler - Not well. Link in replies

Important to note that Glenn's piece 1) doesn't quote Tamatha directly merely equivocates on 'supports' to cast doubt & shade without substantive proof 2) take's the Act & SST position as reasonable 3) fails to seek answers on SST's own funding and the origins of their campaign.

Defending the inherent worth of people by not restricting access to political representation maintains the equal inherent worth of all people & constrains institutions ability to restrict political access on the basis of criminality or holding of property.

This guy could have been PM of the UK. Elements of his own party including the vile Keir Starmer did everything they could to destroy his electoral success. The UK IS FUCKED

Extraordinary levels of cowardice on display from Stuff NZ here. Just look at the dissonance between the selected image and the solemn commitment in the 'Editor's Note' below it. In a sea of despicable journalism, this one somehow manages to stand out.

Israel are out here openly saying they're going all in and will bomb anyone who tries to stop them and RNZ is just ignoring it - instead giving villain treatment to Iran This is beyond the pale for an organisation that purports to be "journalistic"
