The BBC claims impartiality over Gaza but there is a conflict of interest at its heart: alan rusbridger nails it again on the true issues inside BBC management. app.prospectmagazine.co.uk/story/70354/co…
Interesting to watch former Conservative minister condemning inaction and complicity by UK and other signatories to the Gaza letter signed by Winston Peters New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade. Quite a sobering take.
This Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso with David Mamet is remarkable. I hadn't listened to Sam Fragoso for a while, but love Mamet's work. Sam is patient, persistent, revealing, and Mamet is prickly, cynical, passionate. Whatever his politics it's great #journalism: open.spotify.com/artist/0LNUSuu…
I am pretty sure Chlöe Swarbrick could argue her comment that led to her expulsion from parliament was in fact an homage to Muldoon, who said of Bill Rowling: "A shiver looking for a spine to run down."
Argh, Dear Mark Galeotti: Homage to Catalonia was Orwell not Hemingway which I am sure was a slip of the tongue. Excellent pod this week but also worth thinking about non-embedded journalists really chancing their arms and other bits.
I do not always agree with Ezra Klein but this conversation between him and Ta-Nehisi Coates is impressive and illuminating. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the…
