1/12 Here is our very useful series of cards, we handed out to people at Standard Chartered - everyone was very keen to collect all 12 . We're looking forward to hearing which one was the most useful #ClimateAction

"It’s time for London to adopt a total ban on wood burning, just as progressive cities have done." - air quality scientist Dr Peter Knapp @peteknapp.bsky.social in the Green Londoner

🤔What do wildfires, fascism, and the loss of indigenous knowledge have to do with one another? Well, they are deeply intertwined, and the LA fires are just the latest example, as Dr Peter Knapp @peteknapp.bsky.social illustrates in this thought-provoking article ⬇️ medium.com/the-new-climat…

Also, Dr Peter Knapp @peteknapp.bsky.social is making a documentary on Fires and Fascism. A very timely topic as both extreme right & extreme wildfires are on the rise 🔥 📽️ Here is the trailer: youtu.be/XOLYYtXVSFE And here you can contribute by crowdfunding this documentary: chuffed.org/project/109604…

Patrick Lee Adam Vaughan It is often overlooked that more “efficient” combustion means higher emissions of even more harmful ultrafine particulates. Good presentations on wood smoke pollution here, specifically on UFPs from Dr Peter Knapp Dr Peter Knapp @peteknapp.bsky.social at min 28:00 youtube.com/watch?v=i_znSF…

The impact of fine particulates on our health is obvious. Here in south east London the new HGV-inducing Silvertown Tunnel will open, yet TfL aren’t bothering to prioritise monitoring of these particulates (PM 2.5). Why not?! This website was a very useful way for the public to make air pollution relatable to them and as a gateway for people to know more. It is tragic that the Clean Air Fund did not continue to fund this very important resource. Gary Fuller UKCleanAir
