Wondering if people making jokes about the Mexican tall ship hitting the bridge understand that people died, many were hurt and some were literally hanging for their life. If yes and they’re still going for the laughs, we have more sick people in this world than I thought.

So many Dads miss this moment. Glad you were there to capture something I bet Scottie will now remember longer than he will the Championships.

I ❤️ #5. You often see vague answers when you’ve asked a question they know to be an “Emperor has no clothes” moment for them or the company if they are truthful. So they tell you what they need to just to get by. And they do this to those they want to hire the most. Perverse.

#12 is the Workday phenomenon: The process of applying for a job that likely requires common sense and efficient processes but chucks it out the window in favor of enough mandates cutting and pasting to make you never want to work for that company ever.

You are wrong. Saying “Get on the bus or we’ll leave you behind” is cool.Saying you’ll “run me over” says you might wreck my rep, spread lies that make it tough to get another job, etc.” Run me over in my job and you’re running over my family & dreams. Take threats seriously

Dez, trust the process. Trust the Lord. Know him better day after day and turn it all over to him. Signed, A guy who’s been there too

And the most overrated is people who convince themselves of being “principled” when they’re presented with facts but stick to their guns anyway because of pride, ego, or just plain stupid.

George, you don’t seem annoyed. No, you just want to marginalize and typecast anyone who asks a stranger what takes up probably half of their waking hours. And maybe even learn what motivates them in the process. Maybe don’t be offended by a decent enough question?

I can’t wait to read it, Mark C. Crowley! Taking care of your people—and not just through the lens of “how can I get them to do more for me?”—is simply the right and smart thing to do.
