Had a great gig at the Keystone Heritage Park today. Weather was great, some friends came to see me, watched the bees in the tree above me doing their thing, a former student from YWA draw my picture, and Pete Delgado came on stage and sung “About a Girl” from Nirvana! #music

Awesome first week back at work with the students. This starts year number 27. Our Ywa Ptso made an amazing breakfast for us on Friday and two 6th graders gave me gifts. This is going to be another spectacular year in The YWA Rockin Library! Can’t believe they actually pay me!

The barrel cactus are blooming here in the El Paso desert. From reds, to oranges to yellows. They are spectacular! Also the lechuguillas are blooming. Very cool!

Wonderful hike yesterday morning. Amazing red sunrise, perfect weather, cool clouds and great company. Hike was on the Cardiac Trail which is a great upper beginner trail that can be modified as you hike. #hike #elpaso

A teacher went through the library taking her students to the balcony for a “field trip.” When they came back through I asked, “Nobody sent me a postcard!” Well, I did get one. Students can be so much fun. I absolutely positively love working with kids! #library #librarian
