I really have to stop writing long books. I just got copyedits for How We Make Each Other & ... let's just say very little of me believes I have the patience for that many pages. But of course spent the day in Wyoming archives anyway looking for material for exactly 1 footnote 😅

A bit of news: I’ve been offered a 1-year visiting professorship with Cornell’s Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies (‘24-25)! And AU has generously extended my leave. I’m incredibly excited to continue to work with & get to know folks here and keep getting lost in the trees.

My favorite part of Dani S. Bassett and Perry Zurn’s outstanding ‘Curious Minds’ involves squirrels.

This weekend is the beginning of a year w/out teaching for me. In Spring '24, I continue on fellowship here at Cornell, but without a teaching assignment, & in Fall '24, I have sabbatical through AU. I'm a little stunned at the thought, but excited to see where the words take me!
