1/ This is breath taking. One of the responsibilities of the assisted suicide committee is to consider safeguards against domestic abuse and exploitation of the elderly. Diane Abbot's reasonable amendment asking for this has just been voted down. This is outrageous.

6/ This is beginning to look like an unserious exercise. The committee was voted against hearing from the Royal College of Psychiatrists and had to be publicly embarrassed into reversing position. Same with Disability Rights groups. Now it doesn't want to hear from abuse experts.

At the end Rebecca Paul MP and I managed to get Kim Leadbeater to admit that under her Bill a person would be able to get an Assisted Death for the sole reason of saving their relatives money. 3/3
