Dominic Raab has said that when lockdown ends the tier system will return; we understand that. But visitor attractions - inc museums, galleries, heritage properties, stately homes, cathedrals & gardens - are proven COVID safe & must reopen at the same time as non-essential retail

The tourism and hospitality sector has been closed or restricted for 10 months. The last thing it needs at the start of another season in which restrictions will still limit income is a GOV.UK enforced price rise. Surely Department for Culture, Media and Sport will be supporting the sector’s ask to HM Treasury

As the Roman Baths is currently closed, staff from our Visitor Experience team have been redeployed to help out at the new COVID-19 vaccination centre at Bath Pavilion provided by BEMS.

Had my second session with Lindsay Williams yesterday. Tailored, focussed and honest coaching. Penny Jenkins and I got loads out of the sessions. Really worthwhile and would recommend to anyone looking to get training in this area!

On the cusp of a Bank Holiday weekend my regular but heartfelt thank you to all those who work, in whatever role, in visitor attractions. You create the backdrop for people’s happiest memories & this year your place of work is where the public want to heal, breathe & relax.
