So the Fire Giant's Stronghold in Tales From the Yawning Portal has a temple inside it. In this temple you can perform a short ritual. This ritual has the hilarious result of killing a character within 20ft of an altar in exchange for a McGuffin. Praise be to red shirt NPCs
