Thanks, #IRA! As I had predicted, the Inflation Reduction Act is crushing the stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plan market. There will be only 534 #PDPs plans for 2025 (-26% vs. 2024). This will be another win for the vertically integrated organizations with

Ohio Community Pharmacy workers won’t have a place to work much longer due to Pharmacy Benefit Managers putting independent pharmacies and chain pharmacies out of business. A great policy to advance toward the finish line, that has bipartisan support, would be HR 9096!

I’ll add one: Insurance premiums for healthcare continue to rise every year, but physicians are being paid less than ever before and pharmacies are closing nationwide due to being underpaid for services rendered.

Pharmacy is in shambles and this gem gets spammed out by American Pharmacists Association I don’t need an online quiz to tell me I’m stressed to the fucking max: worried about future financial stability of my pharmacy and very concerned about the well-being of myself, my staff and my patients.

Breo cost = $399 Authorized Generic cost = $236 PBM requires Branded Breo ONLY. Plan sponsor is paying pharmacy $299.14 which would more than cover the cost of the generic outright with no patient copay. I don’t have an explanation for this criminal activity.

The States have done a great job taking the lead on PBM reform. However, there is NO excuse for Congress not to act. We all know that the three large PBMs control the price at the pharmacy counter for patients. We all know that they don't provide transparency in the net

A risk? No, it’s already happening. How about earlier this year when CVS Health started producing their own biosimilar version of Humira. Guess which drug CVS Health has off their formulary now that they can manufacturer their own?

From the FTC Lawsuit against the PBMs, "Caremark, ESI, and Optum knew that escalating insulin list prices and exclusion of low list price insulins from formularies hurt vulnerable patients-yet continued to pursue and incentivize strategies that shifted the burden of high list

Devoted and CVS Health undercut pharmacies by paying them under cost on every prescription, but let’s go ahead and give the member $174 back into their Social Security check every month and let’s give them $82 per month so they can pay their rent or mortgage. That makes sense.

Devoted Health Plan’s “Low-cost insulin includes 4 of the most expensive insulin products on the market right now. TRESIBA, BASAGLAR, ADMELOG, and FIASP are preferred due to the rebates they give to the PBM. It has nothing to do with what’s least expensive for the patient.

Pharmacies aren’t allowed to influence patients to choose a particular Medicare Drug/MA plan or offer ANY financial incentive to persuade them. So, how is the plan sponsor allowed to give the customer a FREE $10 GIFT CARD just for talking to them about their plan?

PBMs are confused claiming HR 9096 increases costs for employers/at pharmacy counter & limits competition. It does not act in the commercial/employer market AT ALL. It will save BILLIONS at the counter. It drives competition via PATIENT CHOICE of pharmacy wdrb.com/news/pharmacis…

Time to banish these big ole fuckin’ PBMs. Shatter them into a billion pieces. Then take those billions of dollars they have stolen from employers, government, pharmacies and patients and give it all back. Lina Khan shouldn’t stop until every PBM CEO is imprisoned.
