I was catching up on current events by watching interviews of June Havoc and I suddenly realized that the Dick Cavett theme music is “glitter and be gay”!!? Can any other gen z-ers confirm if this was the music used for the show’s whole run??

I hope we honor Sondheim’s memory by insisting on rigor in the art we make and watch, by banning false rhymes and bland music from our stages, and by reviving his work in thoughtful productions that use the original orchestrations.
