It is true - I do not think league tables for "the best childcare" serves anything valuable. What we need is the capacity in the EY sector to nurture as many "good enough settings" as possible. Media such as The Times and The Sunday Times Scotland shaming settings does not support children or adults.

I firmly believe school is not ‘the best place’ for everyone. Messages like this bring added shame, anxiety & stress to children & families. School can & does have a profound detrimental impact on some of our children & the best place for them is not school. #WakeUp
