Farm visit day! We stopped by to check on alfalfa modulation with our students: a hands-on opportunity to support farmers while training the next generation of #forage enthusiasts. Learning in the field, growing knowledge from the ground up!

Great to have Dr. Esteban Rios in Knoxville today to sample our #alfalfa field. Excited to support the development of new varieties for TN! Always a pleasure working with Dr. Rios and University of Florida/IFAS on these important projects

10 months after Hurricane Helene, some areas are still struggling to recover. Hard to believe these areas used to be hay fields! Recovery takes time, and we’re continuing to stand with our Tennessee farmers as they work to rebuild and get back on track. 💪

Today, our UT Extension summer intern Brie McLerran presented her What’s in Your Bale? project! 🌾 Our goal: to show farmers the value of hay testing and how it can impact supplementation costs. Let’s just say… by the end of the day, I found myself in a dollar bill! 💵
