▶️Great Article on student voice, highlighting the need to listen to all pupils, especially those who are in(visible) in PE. ❤️‍🩹Many pupils who lack motor skill or physical appearance, feel PE negatively impacts health. 🚴 Lots of students who lack meaningful experience in PE.

Interesting Article on the experiences of trainee teachers implement Yoga in PE🧘 Could this be a way of linking spiritualism into PE and teaching mindfulness? 😶‍🌫️ Can yoga in PE lead to increased well-being, cognitive functions and behaviour? 🥎 #PhysED

▶️Adopting a 'Weak Education' where teachers are flexible about the outcomes that emerge. 🏃Using an inductive approach to meaningful PE enabled the approach to be critiqued and develop new features. 🗣️Using a shared language to promote meaningfulness LAMPE #PhysED

🗣️ Gradual steps in adopting student voice pedagogies ensures authenticity without overwhelming students. 👨‍🏫Teacher-selected or student-selected groups. ➡️Simply sharing the lesson objective increases meaningfulness! Great article! Lee Sullivan

🛹PL is the autonomous choice and free will to move, the cognition of learning about physical activity + Sport and the response to adversity as movement changes with age. 🚴‍♂️PL is a holistic, individualistic construct that is not bound to any outcomes. #flashback #PhysEd #EduPE

I don’t actually believe that making PE a core subject will rid the UK of the persistent govt framing of it as #sport Selling PE advocacy off to the YST is a symptom of this. Until we are prepared to challenge GOV.UK as a *teaching* body we’re on a road to nowhere #PEnotsport

🚴‍♂️Cooperative learning increases coachability, a requirement for elite athletes! 🏀Cooperative Learning may focus on learning Physical skills as opposed to general learning skills which hinder the success of athletes. #physed #cooperativelearning

🏫Very interesting article on the PA4E1 whole-school approach to PA, with simple strategies such as a funded PA champion. ➡️Significant support from Principle/Headteacher, with structured and unstructured PA opportunities at lunchtime are great contributors to a PA climate. #PE

🏈Great article on the relationship between PL and Life satisfaction in this special Issue. 🚴‍♂️PL increases Life satisfaction, especially in boys. 🛹PL - Life satisfaction leads to students positively exploring their environment and forming better relationships with educators

How much of a focus in modern day #PhysicalEducation should we place on instructing "correct technique"? Is it the only, main or low priority because other factors = higher priority. Please reply with examples of other priorities PE Scholar @ukPEchat Youth Sport Trust Association for Physical Education

“A student would tell a teacher if they had a headache, yet with a period there is a big stigma” Very informative listen on a huge barrier to participation in PE. WE need to speak more about the physical, emotional and social barriers that arise from periods.
