Out on the wiley, windy moors, the cotton grass is now blowing. It's always a welcome sign of impending summer, seeing those bright heads of fluff amid the rusty heather, and they looked perfect glowing in the last light of a peachy sunset at Stanage Edge. #peakdistrict
'I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.'
Such a beautiful morning in the misty #peakdistrict woods, green and damp and full of birdsong, while this perfect beech tree in his brand new outfit demanded my attention and a portrait. How could I not oblige?!
An unashamedly cheerful shot for the weekend - this is my favourite #peakdistrict walk through meadows FULL of buttercups with a clear, sparkling river alongside. Even the gate is perfect, offering both a squeeze stile for the nimble and a kissing gate for the romantic.
Oh I could stand for hours and watch splashes of sunshine on the land, falling through clouds to spotlight scattered farms and barns. A view that’s constant and yet ever-changing. #peakdistrict
If you've never been to the wonderful #peakdistrict village of Tissington, now's the time to go! The annual Well Dressing Festival is currently in full swing, a tradition dating back to the 1300s, and the duck pond is looking pretty darned special too.
I had the most wonderful morning yesterday - a hot air balloon flight over the stunning #peakdistrict countryside, silently drifting over the fields and valleys. I would like to do this again every morning please?! Wickers World Hot Air Balloon Rides 🎈
A truly incredible experience right over my very own back garden yesterday. What a beautiful planet we have.

I'm not really one for big, iconic views; sometimes the essence of the #peakdistrict countryside can be summed up in one tiny, humble glance - a tumbledown barn, moss-covered walls, and stretching green hills as far as the eye can see.
Have you ever chanced upon a place so beautiful and perfect, that afterwards you’ve wondered whether you imagined it all? I’m pleased I have photographs of this little fairy glade, and the smell of garlic still on my wellies, or I might have thought it a dream. #peakdistrict
One of the most beautiful things about low sunshine on Spring mornings is the way the light picks out every brand new leaf on each tree, as if celebrating their shiny return. The trees shimmered proudly on this little #peakdistrict lane, as if showing off their new clothes.
