Something mainstream media won’t report: There was a Zoom tonight for Black women organizing for Kamala Harris. The call had a max of 1000 people. They hit it immediately, and got a hold of the Zoom CEO to help. 40,000 people joined. For over 4 hours. Trump is soooo screwed.

Powerful day at city council today. Shoutout to Albina Vision Trust, Rukaiyah, Winta, JT, Kayin, and the rest of the team over there. A huge moment for Black Portland and Portland as a whole. 👑

If it was a democracy, people in Black neighborhoods wouldn’t have to wait longer to vote If America was a Democracy, “black neighborhoods” wouldn’t still be a thing scientificamerican.com/article/smartp…

Me after seeing Mingus Mapps show up at a celebration for the state of Oregon’s oldest Black owned biz today after he and Commissioner Rene Gonzalez worked last year to take funding from BIPOC businesses in #Portland. Thankfully Commissioner Carmen Rubio & Mayor Ted Wheeler were able to save the funding.

Ta-Nehisi Coates’ new book, “The Message,” is a trio of interconnected essays that examine how the stories people tell — or avoid telling — can shape and even distort reality: “I am most concerned always with those that don’t have a voice.” cbsn.ws/4gJxe2g

It's My Birthday! 🥰 Can you help me celebrate by supporting our movement? We've only got one month left in this election and we need 70 more donors until the next city matching tier! 🙏🏾 Thank you! secure.actblue.com/donate/candace…

Rene is a conservative who has worked to get anti-LGBTQ+ extremists elected to school boards across the state, he's abused the public trust, his only contribution is trying and failing to destroy PSR. Don't rank Rene. dontrankrene.org

The The Oregonian editorial board proves yet again that patriarchy is alive and well. This is the same board that opted out of doing an endorsement during the 2016 presidential election. Kudos to them for their "consistency" I guess.... Dont Rank Rene

Last night at the Portland is Possible event, they asked us to share one particular change we'd like to see in 10, 20, or 30 years for our city. Here's my answer:

The majority of City Council says they don't want to work with the County to end homelessness. Its clear these officials - candidates desperately vying for your vote this month - have their eyes on their own future and not our collective one. Disappointing.
