Really pleased about this. I'm proud to be working with so many great colleagues, collaborators, researchers and students both currently in Keele and previously in Swansea

Grade 2* listed Bennerley Viaduct, built in 1877 by Great Northern Railway Company truly a magnificent piece of engineering. Wrought iron structure over 1/4 mile long, longest in the UK. Now cycle/footpath. bennerleyviaduct.org.uk

Continuing the theme of bridges from a few weeks ago, this weekend I cycled to the original "Iron-bridge" built by Abraham Darby III, built over the River Seven in 1779.

Just found this old picture of me. 25 years of doing computational science and engineering research on UNIX/LINUX based operating systems and still going... Here's me 1998 using an SGI Indy workstation!
