Ben Bowen & his 4 year old Police dog Enzo have been crowned the Reserve National Police dog champions at the recent National Police dog trials hosted by West Mids Police. They missed out on being the overall champions by 1 point. Somehow I think ‘They will be back’ 👏👍

💥Overnight residential burglary .... Saka tracked from the property through streets & lanes locating stolen items hidden in bush before tracking on further locating a male who thought it would be wise to try & out run the dog despite multiple warnings but wasn't quick enough !💥

💥Burglary on a rural farm where one of the offenders makes off in a vehicle leaving his mate to run off on foot! Saka tracked through farm yards, woodland & fields finding stolen items & then not one but two males hiding in dense undergrowth out of sight from NPAS South West Region !💥

PD Albert deployed to detain a male running from police, he wisely chose to comply. PD Jasper was then tasked to search the route the male had took. Jasper indicated on a 2nd male who was searched and arrested for possession class A drugs and an offensive weapon in a public place

Update on TPD Odi. The specialist was delighted how the injury has healed & sees no reason with sensible progression why he can’t go on to be a working dog. I’m to build him up to 30 min lead walks over the next 3 weeks. He was on the Jan 2026 course but it will now be Sept 2026.

PD Nero called in to help with a missing young person after concerns they were going to end their life. Neros handler spotted the person, who ran on seeing police. Nero put his nose to work, tracking along the road and up a driveway, finding the missing person hiding behind a van

On Sunday and yesterday I have been assessing our five September Initial course dogs TPD’s Maggie, Chilli, Lando, Bear and Ernie for their readiness to go on the course. Here’s TPD Maggie tracking beautifully on dry short grass at Exeter race course. 👍

TPD Chilli is another of our excellent tracking dogs. She is a little firecracker in everything she does. Take a look at her determination when she overshoots her end toy and starts to track me out of the field. She just will not give up. Criminals beware she will find you.

I think TPD Chilli is a very exciting prospect and what she lacks in size she more than makes up for with her tenacity, determination and will to win.

💥Saka has had a busy few shifts this week helping locate & detain three suspects on a burglary spree breaking into multiple properties in Exminster attempting to steal high value vehicles before garden hoping trying to hide & then tracking to a suicidal female on a cliff edge💥

💥Pursuit of a suspected cloned motorcycle driving dangerously in Totnes before it was found dumped nearby ….Saka arrived tracking from the bike into woodland to the male who broke from his hiding place trying to outrun Saka but quickly found out four legs are faster than two💥
