The Government is proposing the largest disability benefit cuts in a generation. This will impact millions - some households will lose up to £10,000 a year. We should be asking the wealthiest to pay their share - not targeting the poorest. I will vote against this proposal.

Cutting disability support will push thousands into destitution – hitting Labour areas hardest. It’s morally wrong and politically reckless. Polling shows the public overwhelmingly backs wealth taxes over cuts. Those with the broadest shoulders should bear the burden.

I’m one of 108 Labour MPs backing a Reasoned Amendment to oppose the Universal Credit & PIP Bill. Our concerns have been ignored, along with those of disabled people & charities. These damaging cuts must be reconsidered. I didn’t come into politics to punish the most vulnerable.

The Disability Benefit Cuts Bill will unleash a domino effect of hardship for carers. Many are disabled themselves so in future won't get the support they rely on. PIP is a ā€œpassportā€ to Carer’s Allowance, some families will lose both - around Ā£9,000 a year. I’m voting NO.

We must stop demonising welfare recipients. The idea that disabled people are faking it or struggling families are all potential fraudsters. This logic punishes people for life’s challenges - we need a welfare state that helps people back on their feet, not kicks them down.
