The classic peer review system is about to collapse (hard to find reviewers) but are these repositories really an alternative? Peer-reviewed alternatives like Peer Community In are emerging but they are still in the minority
#PCI-friendly means that manuscripts recommended by any Peer Community In will be considered and rapidly handled, and that the recommendation and reviews made by Peer Community In will be the basis for the decision making about publication. A further step for Open Science! 2/2
#AnnForSci: New Open Access Research Paper. "SurEau: a mechanistic model of plant water relations under extreme drought" by Cochard H. et al UCA INRAE Clermont Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes INRAE Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur @UMR_PIAF #URFM More information at ist.blogs.inrae.fr/afs/2021/06/15…
New preprint recommended by the PCI Forest & Wood Sciences : Tree growth forces and wood properties, by Bernard Thibaut and Joseph Gril. Excellent contribution to the fiel of tree biomechanics. forestwoodsci.peercommunityin.org/articles/rec?a…
See the recommendation by Hervé Cochard "Into the wood: the biomechanical history of trees revealed by their inner structure" for PCI Forest & Wood Sciences about the preprint "Tree growth forces and wood properties" by Bernard Thibaut and Joseph Gril. forestwoodsci.peercommunityin.org/articles/rec?i…
Five preprints already recommended in the PCI Forest & Wood Sciences. Do not hesitate to submit your own preprint for a potential recommendation. Go to: forestwoodsci.peercommunityin.org/default/user/l…
Interesting! Do not hesitate to submit the preprint to the relevant Peer Community In for a review and possibly a recommendation.
If the preprint is already submitted to a journal, then it is probably too late for a peer review by any Peer Community In. Next time! Review by a Peer Community In is equivalent to that by a journal...

You may also use the PCI Forest & Wood Sciences preprints in all topics dealing with forests, trees, wood properties, wood material ... are welcome and will be handled by a team of motivated recommenders.
1/7 We did it! > 500 of us have signed the #PCIManifesto to support Peer Community In & Peer Community Journal! peercommunityin.org/pci-manifesto/
New preprint recommended by the PCI Forest & Wood Sciences about wood structure and new technologies to observe it. forestwoodsci.peercommunityin.org/articles/rec?a… We are open to many more submissions in the future!
... and use a Peer Community In to have your preprint recommended before thinking of submitting it to a journal.PCI Forest & Wood Sciences and many others....
