Exciting new publication in Nature: A long-term study in monkeys has shown that the generic drug metformin can slow brain aging by the equivalent of 18 human years! nature.com/articles/d4158….

Why entrepreneurs and scientists often clash: The former are successful because they have strong/fixed opinions (even if the data is very unclear), the latter are successful because they don't (even if the data is very clear). PS: they shouldn't try to do the other's job! 😆

I'm deeply impressed by the stirring non-verbal documentary film "Samsara". Watch it alone and let it sink in barakasamsara.com

Just because Donald Trump acts goofy doesn’t mean his presidency wouldn’t be dangerous. And you don’t have to take my word for it. Lately, some of the people who know Trump the best have been saying in no uncertain terms that he should not be president again.

It's better to have questions that can't be answered than answers that can't be questioned. We need to outgrow religion to survive.

Both, churches and totalitarian regimes claim(ed) to be infallible. Science and democracies, on the other hand, have effective self-correction mechanisms.

I wholeheartedly recommend the book NEXUS by Yuval Noah Harari. It is an insightful and thought-provoking exploration of how information systems have shaped our civilizations and analyses the implications AI may have on our future.
