Today, Liz, Verol and I collected a wide range of litter and fly tipping from Potters Way and the shelter belt the other side of the Parkway, including 9 bags (4 recyclable), 5 NO2 canisters, 6 large batteries, half an oil drum, a decomposing sheet of plywood, and a suitcase.

Event: 31/08/2025 @ 10:00 - Maskew Avenue. We can go North (Brotherhood roundabout), South (Maskew Ave / Lincoln Road) or West towards the railway tracks from here. Meeting by the We Buy Any Car pod at the very top of Maskew Avenue. All are welcome, equipment is provided.

We went all around the Brotherhood roundabout this morning and collected 6 trollies, 16 bags of litter (5 recyclable), a red plastic traffic barrier, a broken window frame, two brand new unopened pillow cases. Thanks to Pete, Carole, Phillip and Verol.

Event: 07/09/2025 @ 10:00 - Bryon Close Park, Stanground. Reported by a local resident, this park area and the surrounding bushes have been heavily littered for some time and need a clean up. If time permits we can continue towards the Stanground Library area as well.

Following advice from local resident Clare we tidied up Byron Park in Stanground and then on to the Library to the Lawson Avenue playing fields and Skateboard Park to the Fire Station. 12 volunteers collected 15 bags (5 recyclable) plus other bits.

Event: 07/09/2025 @ 10:00 - Continuing our Womble tour of PE1, we'll meet at the junction of Alexandra Road and Rock Road, where we got to last time before heading in to Rock Park. There is free parking along Alexandra Road. All are welcome and equipment is provided.

Event: 16/09/2025 @ 10:00 - Stanground Lode. Meeting at the Fletton High Street end of The Glen (free parking), we'll head for the path that runs parallel the Whittlesey Road, along Stanground Lode towards Aldi. All are welcome, veterans and beginners, and equipment is provided.

Lots of volunteers today, so we were able to do both sides of Whittlesey Road from the mini roundabouts to Aldi and to make a start on the neglected pathway along Stanground Lode. 31 bags (6 recyclable).
