The disinformation around the LTCP debate is astonishing. These are excerpts from Peterborough City Council LTP in 2010. Reducing car use has been a policy for 10+ years. But nothing has been done. Hearing this funding will transform pedestrian & cycle access. Crescent Bridge down to two lanes, segregated route on Thorpe Road, reduction of carriageway on Bourges Boulevard down to Bridge Street. Finally pedestrians & cyclists to be prioritised over cars? 😊

Completely agree Paul Bristow. Too many of our underpasses are covered in broken glass, rubbish and flood after heavy rain. With the adjoining footpaths and cycle paths suffering from no maintenance. Overgrown vegetation, broken street lights and disintegrating surfaces.

We really hope that all casualties are okay, our thoughts are with them. We will wait for further detail before commenting further, but we should not forget Peterborough City Council turned down the opportunity to build a safe route on Crescent Bridge in 2021. Camcycle Active Travel England
