The two little munchkins rescued from the street are doing so well in our foster care in Romania. First vaccine ✅ and soon will be out of quarantine and able to join our other rescued puppies.

We have literally just taken Tasha from her chains. Now safe in our care and the family will no longer have dogs. A nerve wracking rescue here in Romania.

In two days, our UK team in Romania have helped to take in 9 dogs. Including this boy with a hole in his throat. The vet clinic is having a busy weekend, but we are over the moon that so many dogs are now safe in our care.

Two more dogs safe in our care at the Sanctuary this weekend. From a dark cage to the freedom of play all day must be paradise for them. We cannot wait to see their characters come out as they are a little shy for now.

Amit was locked in a cage in the public shelter with 4 other dogs for at least 3 years! yesterday we moved him to the Sanctuary to meet his new pack of friends. And to RUN!!! His smile so huge, loving the soft grass he had forgotten too. Amit. Our miracle.

Rescued last weekend, from the dark cage she lived in, senior beagle Emily is in the vet clinic. Her tumour removed and we hope the biopsy results next week are good for her. She deserves to enjoy her beautiful golden years. Paws2Rescue’d.

Charlie has had emergency surgery to close the hole in his trachea which started to pour liquid. He was neutered at the same time too, and thankfully it all went well. We cannot wait for him to recover and enjoy his new life. Rescued.

In Hunedoara kill shelter, for weeks and no one came. The clock ticking on the mum and pups. Having taken in 20 new dogs in the past week, space is tight, but how can we not find room, when turning away means euthanasia. Today they are out and safe in our care.

Today, here in Romania, our dogs Emily and Ivy showed and talked to the children through us about the importance of sterilization, the responsibility of an adoption and the important steps to help with the health and prevention of puppy's disease!

Our patron Wendy Turner Webster 🐾 joined us in Eastern Romania for our Sister Act Spay Campaign. A remote mountainous forest or the intense heat didn’t deter people from bringing their cats and dogs. The Sisters such caring animal lovers, and a fantastic but exhausting day.

Rescued with her leg tied up with wire to a tree, she has rested at the vet clinic, whilst the vets decide if there is a way to save the leg. We walked her today. Sadly they believe amputation is the only option and she will have surgery this week.

Rescued from the kill shelter, he is safe in our care. Just look how truly scared he still is, as we wonder what abuse he has suffered in his short life at the hands of humans.

The largest of all dogs at the Sanctuary, we never thought that Pic would be chosen. 3 weeks ago, he arrived in the UK on the Happy Van and settled right into his new family life. Lucky boy, Pic.

Our vital neuter campaign in Kropvnytskyi, Ukraine continues. It’s hard to find vets: many are afraid to travel because they can be stopped on the road and taken straight to the military, but yesterday we were able to neuter. Thanks to those who donate to support our vital work.
