Next week's Greenwich Cabinet will sign off submission of revised Community Infrastructure Levy rates.

They seek to keep extremely low CIL rates on student housing development and at a level far below many similar London boroughs.

This will cost millions in income.

If you want to reduce traffic in cities look to Paris where Mayor controls systematic reduction in through traffic and huge investment in public traffic.

And guess what it’s popular..

Big fan of LTNs in theory. Big nightmare in practice in Streatham. I’ve given up getting buses and have needed to drive (different routes) MORE OFTEN to cope. Design is very poor and council feedback meetings cancelled.

This has been evidenced time and again. Borrowing to build social housing saves money. Councils are itching to build to tackle the housing emergency. A decent policy is within reach. Why not Rachel Reeves Angela Rayner 🌹 ?
