Yoakley House Quaker Garden almost complete. Opening July 7th. Developing a Quaker Garden as it would have been in 1709,when Michael Yoakley ( who was a Quaker) started the Charity. Such a joy to do. So much local interest already. Thanets Secret Garden.

A first for us at Yoakley House, 3 Pineapples on our main plant. I grow them as close as I can to old Victorian methods. Descriptions on the old Gardener's Assistant, and watching Harry Dodson on the The Victorian Kitchen Garden, in total these three bring our total to 14.

Yoakley House in Margate, our Residents Hand Knitted our Poppy Wall. Such fun designing this with the Residents, so many Memories it brought back for them. Lovely to see Purple Poppies Knitted in memory of the animals lost in the conflict. Always be remembered.
