This last month has felt like a year. Loss, grief, anger, covid, frustration. I've dealt with a lot in the time I've taken my life back but this month, despite being my favourite time of year has absolutely sucked. Only positive shit from now on please. 🙌🏼

The last 2 months have been the hardest ever. Losing dad, funeral, battling with my own grief, having to take extended time away from work, pregnant fiancee struggling and spending the last week in and out of hospital. Can't we just catch a break?

A while back I helped a patient to and from theatres (my job basically) she said she'd like to make something for our unborn child. I didn't think more of it until a parcel arrived on the ward she was on. Truly humbled that just doing my job could mean so much to someone (1)

6 years ago today I was pushed into ward 313 in a wheelchair hardly able to walk 100 steps. And no real ambition other than to survive my operation. 6 years later I work in the same hospital, have an amazing fiancee, a baby here within a few weeks and a job I love. Thanks NHS

Last day shift done... New beginnings and a task that I cant wait to get started on..

I think people's issue is why wait until 5 days before the fight if you all knew about this a month ago.

2 years, 10 months ago I started on an "as and when" contract. Since then, full time, team leader, temp nights manager and now that's permanent. Thanks to my management for the opportunity. I'll make sure University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS FT is in good hands on nights.

Nearly 6 months of loving this beautiful baby girl with all we have. We are so lucky. And she is loved so so much. My mum and dad would've worshipped her.

3 months in my own place. Having my angel every other weekend for the weekend has been some adjustment but one I absolutely adore. She's the only thing that keeps me going. Everything I do long hours, breaking myself physically, is for her. Good times ahead my darling girl. ❤️

So, being a single dad can be hard. Never imagined I'd ever be doing a holiday with Jess on my own. But we are at Butlin's in skeggy. Weather is pants but we are doing our best. Shes my whole world and this is the best time together.

Finally, weather good enough to go on the beach today! Jess loved it, and we then went to Ingoldmells for some fish and chips. She's had a great day today despite a shaky start. #loneparentholiday #mybeautifullittlegirl #needanotherholiday 🤣

So with bad weather on the way and Jess starting to get unsettled a lot more as the week goes on. I've decided to come back home today and have a few days chill in familiar surroundings. The staff at Butlin's have been amazing. And losing 2 days off our trip is nothing really.
