Think Kevin O'Connor’s piece is the first fair assessment of the potential Giannis deals that could be out there. I’m good with either his Spurs deal (Harper/Vassell/picks) or Rockets (Amen/Jabari/picks). Those are NOT overpays in the least. And he’d be a great fit w/either.

NBA Media: “Giannis is one of the greatest of all time. You can’t let him rot in Milwaukee. Set him free” Also NBA Media: “The Bucks shouldn’t expect much back for a 31-year old, injury prone player who doesn’t fit on many clubs. Lakers probably have the best deal for Milwaukee”

No Green Bay Packers if no Rozelle pooling all teams broadcast rights and revenue sharing equally. Only wish MLB had done such a thing back then.

If you want to know the state of sports radio, and for that matter, radio in general. No one has given him a full time job yet. But if you want to hear a 25 year old screaming about firing coaches, that’s available for your listening pleasure

I’ll save you the click. Washed up Howard Beck says don’t pay much for Giannis because the trade could work out badly like the Hawks acquiring DeJounte Murray or the Nets overpaying for then 36/37 year olds Pierce and Garnett.

The big market bias for these writers is ludacrisp. A couple months ago Giannis was Superman who needed to be freed from the Bucks. Now we’re comparing a Giannis deal with one for 37 year old Garnett.

Watch the Rich Paul podcast, he explained it well. Giannis has an image he works to cultivate. Asking out makes him look bad. Bucks meanwhile don’t want Giannis to go public and name his preferred teams, reduces their leverage. Both parties are working on a deal.
