McFadden referring to the Euro 2004 winners and a nation who qualified for the World Cup twice since we have as an ‘emerging nation’. Sure they’ve been poor for a bit but not like we’re out there pulling up trees.
Suicidal defending to cap an absolute shit show of a first half. Centre backs positioning clueless and Robertson charging around like a lunatic leaving his man wide open
It’s like a competition to see who can cock this up the most:
Clark - ridiculous team selection
Robertson - defensive calamity
McLean/McGinn - hiding
Adams - man down
BBC - can’t sync audio and video or access footage for HT analysis
Really poor, sloppy start. Playing right into Hearts hands and lucky not to be behind.
Can’t string two passes together or maintain any possession in decent areas. Hopefully that sitter is a wake up call.
Reverting to type and causing our own problems messing around at the back. Sinisalo understandably not totally up to speed at the passing so good to see him knock it longer when unsure.
This slow ponderous build up does not work when the left hand side is completely nullified by Trusty and Schlupp being unable to get Jota the ball. It’s just so predictable all all the opposition need to do is the basics which we also cannot do at the back.
Embarrassing stuff against a team that are dead certs for relegation. We have a team who visibly can’t be arsed and a manager who refuses to change anything even when his predictable tactics are nullified by awful teams.
Excellent opening 25 minutes and game was done early. Understandably turned into a bit of a snooze fest since then. Would have loved to properly batter this shower and send McInnes home fuming but can’t really grumble.
Aberdeen’s season in a nutshell, dominant and in control then didn’t have the composure to put it to bed or the bottle to see it through. Some really poor misses and two awful goals to give away.
If ever there was a game to show how important McGregor playing further forward is this is it. Every time he steps out of his deeper role, positive things happen. Happy to shoot and some much needed guile to play the killer pass.
Calum Scott has to be the worst referee in the country by a distance. Every game I’ve seen him ref, he’s been awful. Misses a blatant push on Idah then is overly influenced by the VAR rereferreeing things for that penalty. Was a soft pen but not a clear and obvious mistake
