We were really lucky to see so many of our students graduate on Monday from all of our programmes. Here's just a small selection who were asked to say "phenomenography" instead of "cheese" when their photo was taken. CTEL:Lancaster CHERE@LU Centre for Social Justice in Education #graduatesjuly24

The David Behan review of the The Office for Students (OfS) is incredibly disappointing on quality. Suggesting The Office for Students (OfS) define & assess quality for the sector, despite it totally lacking in the expertise or experience to do it. Baffling and deeply concerning assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/66a261fdβ¦

A piece on how the The Office for Students (OfS) independent review misunderstands the capacity and expertise of the OfS to define and assess quality wonkhe.com/blogs/the-indeβ¦
New on @wonkhe: how did you feel about the Behan review plans on quality and standards? Paul Ashwin was not impressed: wonkhe.com/blogs/the-indeβ¦
Paul Ashwin The Office for Students (OfS) Thatβs a quite fundamental issue. The separate designated quality body and how it used its independence was one of the few things that still made sense for a few years after HERA.
Thomas Ward @[email protected] Paul Ashwin The Office for Students (OfS) Although I agree, at the end of Paulβs piece I was left wondering what we should do instead. Iβm not sure peer review, important though it is, is sufficient to enhance quality. Student voices are too faint. Perhaps genuine partnership with students can find a better way?
