14 of 17 Cutting the grant to €80 is simply a cut for the sake of it and it will mean that schools will have to pass that cut on to parents. Schools will do their best (as they always have) but a €16 shortfall will have to be made up.

15 of 17 I guess the point of this thread is to try and get ahead of the spin that's likely to emanate from the Department of Education. Part of me hopes if this thread goes far enough that they will reverse this cut but I know that's unlikely.

16 of 17 Between cutting the summer programme grant by 50%, cleaning grant removed, rising costs in utilities, and now this, it seems parents & schools are in for some more bad news. Free primary education has always been a myth. It looks like it will continue to be this way.

The waiting for children to access services is unacceptable. It shouldn't be the 'lucky few' who can afford to get them done privately. Well done to this family= Integrity It's important we all use our voices. These delays affect every child in the country.
