Some initial highlights from the Richtersveld following a trek up Halfmans Pass and Kodapiek - its awash with mesems & succulents, including heads of Conophytum reconditum, Crassula deceptor, Cephalophyllum goodie & Aloe ramosissima

We conquered and survived Mount Terror. Lots of interesting collections with @CamPlantsman and Paul Rees

Psammophora modesta grows in the Richtersveld, has sticky leaves which collect grains of sand until they are completely coated. This sand coating acts as sun and wind protection, helps keep the plant cool, helps conserve water and acts as a camouflage against hungry tortoise.

Excited that our amazing volunteers started last night to image herbarium vouchers from Madagascar @KewScience which will give much access to researchers from afar @TeamKMCC and enable easier taxonomic research for key groups of genera
