In 2020 when schools were closed & classrooms became silent, we reached out in the safest ways possible to the children who needed literacy interventions the most. Libraries Without Walls free community reading program in Ayenya, Accra. Celebrating this moment on #WorldPhotoDay.

MINDSPARK stands for Mobilizing Innovation and New Digital Skills for Participation, Agency, Representation, and Knowledge. Grateful that we can bring this intervention to children, girls and boys in Osu!

Scholars Joshua, Alex & Charles continue to give back to their communities through service, this time serving as volunteers of Libraries Without Walls during their #CommunityLiteracyCaravan event in Ayikuma.Alex and Joshua also assist in setting up the space for @librarieswithoutwalls events.

When the Literacy Caravan rolls in, stories come alive! With Goethe-Institut GH, we brought books of Ghanaian origin to kids in Ayikuma sparking joy, pride, and a love for reading. 📚🇬🇭 Because literacy isn’t just about reading; it’s about seeing yourself in the story. ❤️

Our #READSPRINT program provides literacy support to children. The program focuses on reading skills development. Children participate in structured activities designed to improve their reading abilities. The goal is to enhance literacy levels among participants.

We are excited to share that all remaining scholars of our second cohort have successfully completed their senior school education and will now begin their Aspire gap year programs! Congratulations scholars !!

During our #READSPRINT graduation, all student participants received brand new backpacks replete with school supplies, all thanks to our partners RARA EDUCATION!

Sometimes the truest learning happens in colour, in laughter, in the courage to imagine. Through the MOLiCHub of our Libraries Without Walls program, we are nurturing spaces where children write, paint, and tell their own stories with confidence and joy. So grateful to our volunteers and partners

Storytelling Session: We transported the students to different worlds through engaging stories that ignited their curiosity and love for reading through the Community Literacy Caravan.

When we see this, we know the children we serve are imagining themselves in the world of the story, and in that moment, we knew that we were creating something special.

Towards closing the digital divide. We will go to any terrain and serve in any environment for the future of our children. 🇬🇭
