It's National School Bus Safety Week and today, the transportation department was at Parkwood Elementary School working with all of the students on emergency evacuations.

🏗️🌟 Big thanks to the Bretz family and Sterett Crane & Rigging! They brought a massive crane to the Pattonville Early Childhood today and shared a demonstration with classes. Students were able to see the crane up close and witness it in action.

The St. Louis County Library bookmobile is making visits to Willow Brook this year. While construction on a brand new library space, made possible by the passing of Prop S in 2022, is being completed, students are being given the opportunity to step aboard the library on wheels to check out books.

Parkwood fourth graders are completing a unit about Hawaii and working on a project to assist the people in Maui as they recover from the impact of a recent natural disaster. Students in Kristen McGreer and Audrey Masek's classes are hosting a coin drive for the people of Maui.

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes 🇺🇸 Pattonville HS hosted its Veterans & First Responders Day program on Friday to express gratitude to the brave individuals who have selflessly served our country & community. 🎗️ The day began with breakfast, followed by a presentation in the auditorium.

Remington second graders took a nature walk last week. Students were given a bag to collect things they found & told they would be given a chance to create something with those items. Each creation on display in their Nature Walk Gallery is paired with a unique piece of writing.

In-person classes are canceled tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 16 in Pattonville due to severe cold weather and wind chills. Students will take part in a virtual learning day.

The Pattonville School District is closed and school is canceled today, Monday, Jan. 22 due to inclement weather and icy road conditions in the area. Today is an inclement weather day for students; no virtual learning will take place.
