🚨🚨 For all the talk Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom and fellow democrats talk about *healthcare* cuts from the federal govt, Newsom’s budget includes BILLIONS MORE from the feds for healthcare. Either he has been lying to you, or he’s setting up the state for (more) failure.

Gov. Newsom has proposed $25.5 million in cuts to IHSS. This money goes to pay wages for caretakers of those with disabilities. Newsom has said it himself - the budget is a document of values. I won’t support these cuts, which dramatically impacts the most vulnerable population

The only good thing about this ridiculous idea is that it is an acknowledgement that CA cant afford to continue this program.

Some of Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom’s (not Trump) proposed cuts to Medi-Cal, almost entirely impacting poor and those with disabilities: ❌ $1.8 Billion from Props 35 and 56 to fund Medi-Cal ❌$ 94 million on seniors and disabled adults ❌ $3.44 Billion owed from prior “loan”

Senate Republicans just saved Californians from insanely high electricity bills that would have been required to cover the cost of huge electrical infrastructure upgrades.

Saw a poll recently where Californians think politicians talk way too much about the environment and, while important, it ranks low on a list of policy priorities for them. So, naturally, Newsom who hasn’t lived in the real world, is going to dig in.

⚠️ THIS is why housing is so expensive in California & why I don’t think Palisades, Malibu, Altadena will be rebuilt for 10-20 years: Took 1.5 YEARS to get permit from City of Santa Monica to add 249 sq ft laundry room to my house. Finally started & emailed my DUMSTER is illegal!

35 democrats, including 2 from California, supported Kevin Kiley’s efforts to stop California’s ban on gas powered cars. Amazing bipartisanship from my Congressman stopping the tyranny that is the CA state government and its Governor!

We ended authoritarianism here. No one voted to ban gas cars. Your elected legislature didn’t pass a bill to do this. One man Gavin Newsom decided he knew what was best for you and ordered it to be done by edict. We rejected that philosophy in 1776. Gavin got slapped down

Today a piece of legislation requiring children up to 13 years old to use car seats actually failed. This is my 3rd year the legislature & only the 2nd time I have seen a piece of legislation fail on the assembly floor. That said, it has reconsideration and I bet it passes

The California Assembly today unanimously (but quietly) passed a bill that would make it a crime for state lawmakers to sign NDAs when handling taxpayer dollars, proposed state laws. It was inspired by our reporting. Now heads to the State Senate. kcra.com/article/califo…
