Beautiful paper about phages escaping 19 different defense systems in bacteria! Must have been a loooot of plates 💪 While reading I was hoping that our understanding of defense strategies in protist/virus systems will reach such a level of mechanistic detail. One can dream ☺️

Amongst all the crazy things that happened since 48hrs, I’m very happy to share this latest preprint from my post doc @vardilab . A great collaboration with Gur Hevroni where we push the boundaries of single cell ecology to decipher host virus dynamics during natural algal blooms.
