Glad to see our paper on acanthamoeba encystment (rdcu.be/cUHP5) highlighted the editors of Nature Communication as particularly interesting or important for “Microbiology and infectious diseases”. nature.com/collections/je…

Beautiful paper about phages escaping 19 different defense systems in bacteria! Must have been a loooot of plates 💪 While reading I was hoping that our understanding of defense strategies in protist/virus systems will reach such a level of mechanistic detail. One can dream ☺️

The main #chapter of my PhD is out The ISME Journal! nature.com/articles/s4139… It has a special place in my heart since we've been working on this project when I started my PhD. Thanks and congrats to everyone involved including #TeamLagria, Insect Symbiosis Lab and @Hertweck_Lab #Lagria

Amongst all the crazy things that happened since 48hrs, I’m very happy to share this latest preprint from my post doc @vardilab . A great collaboration with Gur Hevroni where we push the boundaries of single cell ecology to decipher host virus dynamics during natural algal blooms.

In a new preprint, we report that recently discovered anti-phages systems (Mokosh, Eleos, Lamassu…) have eukaryotic homologs. We harnessed this conservation to discover novel defense mechanisms in humans. Ernest Mordret Gal Ofir @EnzoZ_P Aude Bernheim biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
