Good day, Eswatini. Yesterday, we had the honour of receiving a courtesy visit from UNFAO Sub-Regional Coordinator for Southern Africa and Representative in Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Eswatini H.E Dr. Patrice Talla at the Private and Cabinet Office.

Our discussions centred around Eswatini's vision to attain food sovereignty & produce enough food to build resilience & sustain livelihoods. We also discussed possible support for a food systems transformation programme & climate finance, amongst others.

We noted that feasibility studies have been done, but time has come for us to deliver on our promise & consolidate efforts to deliver on key priorities to achieve food security. We also spoke about our goal to introduce resilient agricultural systems as per our policy statement.
