Great collaboration between Imperial Department of Infectious Disease and @PHE_uk to investigate unprecedented surge in #scarletfever. Not only is "Strep A M1uk" lineage more toxigenic but may explain the rise in invasive disease. Privileged to have taken part but more testing and surveillance needed!
