We would likely require the stairwell be built of concrete/cement as additional fire protection and also require the cladding of the building be non-flammable material. When we’re done, single-stair buildings in Austin will be the safest in Austin.

Since they cannot break us or our allies by force of arms, our enemies intend to break our will. Foreign tyrants will continue to smuggle their agenda under the guise of hollow "patriots" who speak only to denounce America. They mean to make our flag a blindfold. Let them try.

👏 City of Austin has been awarded $10.5 million by U.S. Department of Transportation to improve safety for pedestrians. The Safe Streets and Roads for All grant funding will allow the City to install crossings at nearly 50 locations and more fully develop the Living Streets program. 🚶

This is an insane requirement. Does anyone know if the TEA or some other body in Texas has a similar policy? If so, we should change that ASAP

But we're not out of the woods, each school district comes up with its own design standards, look at AISD's criteria here. It's actually worse than the 1950s table Aaron Lubeck, Designer & Builder of Cities found! (Although the overall site scoring here seems...complex & subjective)
