From #research to #application: Our DynaPore team, Scott Scholz, Elisabeth Bobkova, Markus Meier and Owen Jarman from SYBORG are competing at #HIWettbewerb start-up competition. 𝗩𝗼𝘁𝗲 for team DynaPore until Nov 7th, to support them in reaching the final: hessen-ideen.de/ideen/alumni/d…

Check out our latest research by Mohsen Naghipourfar and others in our team on building language models of coding sequence. In this preprint, we introduce cdsFM, a suite of codon-resolution language models!👇 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Novel enzyme starts with promiscuity. Excited to share our study that shows how #evolution recruits a single enzyme for multiple purposes, showcasing the plasticity and flexibility of #metabolism. Huge thanks to my colleagues at SYBORG & Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology! rdcu.be/dXaqU

New paper in collaboration w/The Arpaia Lab out in Nature today! Andrew Redenti, Jongwon Im and team engineer E. coli Nissle probiotic as cancer vaccines nature.com/articles/s4158… Columbia BME Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center. Congrats all!!

This is great! NIAID News have launched a collection of public domain illustrations (currently 550 individual icons) bioart.niaid.nih.gov

Our paper: "A history-dependent integrase recorder of plant gene expression with single-cell resolution" is published in Nature Communications . Congrats Cassandra Maranas for completing this work! Earlham Institute UW Biology To read the paper: rdcu.be/dYxtF nature.com/articles/s4146…

🚨Interested in #evolution and #synbio and looking for a PhD? Then come join mine, Tiffany Taylor and Jordi Paps labs to trace and shape the evolutionary paths of engineered biology! 🛠️🧬🧪 Project details here: bpb-eu-w2.wpmucdn.com/blogs.bristol.…, apply here: swbio.ac.uk/programme/how-…

Our latest work on Biocomputation in Bacterial Consortia is out in Nucleic Acids Res 😀. In a process we term "intercellular CRISPRi", filamentous phages transmit DNA messages from sender to receiver cells to regulate gene expression by CRISPR interference. doi.org/10.1093/nar/gk…
