I can never in my life tolerate the desire for AI art of any kind, especially in writing. The joy that I get from reading someone’s writing, and imagining them constructing each sentence, and the life experiences that make each idea possible, is not something I want reduced.

I enjoy writing. I enjoy reading other people’s writing. I like seeing people’s ideas and watching them develop over time, from essay to essay, and book to book. I like seeing writers try weird things, and most of the time, I don’t care how technically perfect it is.
